The space between the modules allows you to return to your daily life and integrate the new information, experience, and inspiration. **If you want to deepen your education but are unable to register for the entire course, you may participate in individual modules.
All hours count toward becoming a 500-Hour Registered Yoga Alliance teacher.

Expert-Level Curriculum Designed for Results
With countless options in today’s training environment, Jason’s teaching and curriculum stand out. His teaching has been recognized by the most prestigious national and international yoga conferences and publications for more than a decade. Jason is recognized as a “teacher’s teacher,” and has partnered with leading yoga institutions like Yoga Journal and Yogaglo to create teacher training content. As part of his commitment to accuracy and a rational approach to yoga, the anatomy components of this program were co-created by Jason and Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeon and Sports Medicine Dr. Paul Roache. The entire curriculum is taught by Jason, and presented in a relevant, approachable, and honest way.
Built for Convenience
In order to complete the entire program and qualify to earn your 500-hr certification, you need to complete all three modules. But, the program is extremely flexible and can be tailored to fit your schedule. First, the modules DO NOT need to be taken in order. Each 100-hour module is fully contained and you can start with any one. Second, you can take as long as you need to complete all 3 modules. If it’s not possible to complete all 3 modules in one year, you can spread them out over as many years as you need. The modules will continue to be offered at least once-a-year, if not more. Third, you’re welcome to join 1 or 2 modules without committing to all 3. If you want an immersive experience to deepen your practice and sharpen your teaching, feel free to register for only 1 or 2 of the modules.
Module 3: Cultivating Strength & Movement, Shoulders, Neck, + Upper Back
This module goes beyond the basics and provides a full immersion in practice and study. The module contains anatomy, asana technique, injury management, and philosophical inquiry. As a practitioner, you’ll explore more challenging postures, commit to seated meditation, and cultivate more refinement in your practice. As a teacher, you will learn to develop sequences that create greater balance in each region, help students manage their injuries, and instruct your students in clear, accessible language.
Core themes include:
- How to work with dysfunction, imbalance, and pain in the shoulders.
- How to practice and teach advanced arm balances and inversions.
- How to keep the neck integrated and safe in every posture, including advanced postures.
- How to use the shoulders safely and effectively in every category of posture.
- How Tantric teachings relate to the teachings of Buddhism and Traditional Yoga.
Schedule and Virtual Experience
We will be using a combination of pre-recorded practices and lectures and live practices and lectures to facilitate this training module.
We will have 2 hours of daily live interaction, practice, and teaching. This will allow us to spend much needed time together and be in community as much as possible. If you cannot make these live sessions, you will be able to view recorded versions the following day. Live hours will be Monday – Thursday from 3-5pm PST, and Friday/Saturday 8-10am PST. These live sessions will be conducted via Zoom.
By “pre-recorded”, we will be recording everything 1-day ahead for this program and this program only. This will ensure a steady, smooth experience for the trainees, and provides the highest quality, most convenient, and most accessible option available to us. In order to view the recorded content, you will receive a password-protected login to Jason’s website. The viewing experience is super convenient.
Jason will create and deliver 100% of the content in the originally scheduled 12-day format, meaning all of the content will be available to you between July 13-25. This will allow anyone who wants to complete the module in the originally scheduled time period to proceed accordingly.
In addition to the above, you will have an additional 4 weeks to complete this module. In other words, you will have a total of 6 weeks to complete the module. We will take special considerations for those of you that need additional time. Please reach out to Jason directly if you need additional time and support.
We will have an entire bonus month of online conversations where we get together 2x per week. These meetings are not mandatory, but are a way for Jason to provide additional support beyond the time frame of the 2-week scheduled module. These live conversations will be recorded; you’ll be able to submit questions in advance and watch the archived footage as your schedule requires. Weekly days and times will vary slightly giving folks from around the world more convenience in participating in the live versions.
Participants must have a completed a 200-hour teacher training program or have been a dedicated yoga student for at least 5 years.
Yoga Alliance is currently accrediting all online hours as if they were completed in-person. Additionally, completing this teacher training will qualify you for a 500-hour Yoga Alliance certification. In order to be eligible for this qualification, you must: complete all 3 modules; have already graduated from a 200-hr teacher training program; and hold a 200-hr Yoga Alliance certification. Remember, you can take the modules in any order and take as long as you need to complete all 3.
