Teacher Tune-In: Bhagavad Gita, Deeply with Stephanie Snyder

About the Event

$400 for single weekend | $1,700 for The Complete Practice

This fifth and final module of The Complete Practice will leverage the learned foundation of the first Teacher Tune-In module but can also be taken on its own. We will be prepared to go from the gross into the more subtle and teachings of the Bhagavad Gita and Krishna Consciousness. We will spend the time needed to understand the many synonyms, tributaries, and paradoxical ways that this text brings us back to the essential teachings again and again. Be prepared to step into the text with curiosity, humility, and reverence.

Sequencing: Learn to sequence for more advanced poses in public classes, workshops, and with private clients. Learn how to identify the subtler aspects of the advanced poses and how to introduce and skillfully teach these nuances in a way that helps students not only execute the poses but also understand the biomechanics and energetics of the shapes. We will focus on sequencing for inversions as well as deep hip openers, culminating with inversions that include deep hip openers.

Advanced Assists: This will be an opportunity to touch up and refine your go-to assists that you use in public classes as well as learn how to offer hands-on assists for some of the more advanced poses. You will have a chance to safely and skillfully assist each other using both props and no props to support the assists. Many of the advanced poses require support when the student is learning and teachers can often feel intimidated or not know where to begin. This weekend, we will spend time understanding the why and how of getting into these assists. As teachers you will develop confidence in helping the students in your classes that are ready to attempt some of the more difficult asana.
