Love Story Yoga 200-HR Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training – Extended Weekend Format

Training Overview

This training was created, written, and designed by Stephanie Snyder to super charge your own practice and spiritual development, and prepare you to intelligently and confidently guide others. Completing this teacher training will qualify you for a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification as long as you attend each day of the training.

Program Overview

This comprehensive training includes daily practice and meditation, practical anatomy, philosophy, strategic sequencing, finding your voice, practice teaching, interpersonal work, and technical alignment principles.

You will dive into asana; learn basic Pranayama breathing techniques; explore sacred texts, develop your authentic teaching voice and technique; learn the anatomy of the subtle body; and discover, understand, and apply the sacred mantras.

The training will be taught by Nacera Mekki, Susannah Freedman, Jason Crandell, and Jeremy Falk.

We designed this training for the working, over-scheduled Yogi who wants to do a teacher training that fits within their lifestyle/schedule. The training will take place at Love Story Yoga in San Francisco over the course of 7 3-day weekends in late 2020.

We will meet Fridays from 4pm to 9pm, Saturdays from 11am to 8pm, and Sundays from 8am to 4pm.

The key topics covered in this 200-hour Yoga Alliance-Certified Teacher Training are:


The physical poses that reflect the inner world to the outer eye, including physical and energetic alignment; verbal and physical assists and adjusting; dynamic, efficient, and intelligent sequencing; and Sanskrit names and meanings.


Pranayama is the formal practice of controlling the breath, which is the source of our prana, or vital life force. We will focus on: teaching basic Pranayama to your students, developing your home Pranayama practice, and understanding when and why you would teach different Pranayama techniques.


Learn the how and why of meditation practice. Develop a daily practice that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Sacred Texts

We will dive into study and application of the Yoga Sutras, Hatha Yoga Pradipika, and the Bhagavad Gita.

Teaching Technique

Teach what you’ve learned in this training in your own authentic voice. In addition, we will focus on the seat of the teacher: how to hold the seat with integrity, honesty, and grace. You will develop the tools to teach to all levels, with the ability to introduce modifications (beginner) and variations (advanced) of the asana. Lastly, you will learn how to weave accessible philosophy teaching into your class.

Subtle Body

Anatomy of the Chakras, Nadis, Koshas, and Vayus.


Chanting alone and with a group. Learn the sacred mantras, what they mean, and how to use them.

Completing this teacher training will qualify you for a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certification. In order to be eligible for this qualification, you must:

  1. Complete a minimum of 90% of offered training hours; arriving late to more than two sessions will be considered an absence;
  2. Submit all assigned homework, which will be drawn from a provided reading list;
  3. Complete relevant sadhanas (personal practices) that will be given as supplemental practicum hours;
  4. Complete the test that will be given at the completion of the 200 hours.

  • $3,650  [$3,350 if registered and paid by 4/1/2020]. This includes all sessions and a 200-pg. teaching manual.
  • $25 for unlimited mat and shower/sweat towel rentals during the training. $10 for unlimited yogitoes mat towel rentals. Please inquire in-studio.
  • Students in our extended format teacher training are eligible to practice with us at a discount over the course of the training. We are offering teacher training students a 20-pack of classes for $280. Please inquire in-studio.


Nacera Mekki

Nacera Mekki has been practicing yoga for over 17 years and teaching for 10 years. She has completed 500 Hours of Vinyasa training with Les Leventhal and Stephanie Snyder studying anatomy, sequencing and philosophy; and 200 Hours of Kundalini with Gurmukh studying pranayama, meditation, mantra and the energetics of the practice.

Nacera has assisted three 200-hr Yoga Alliance certified Teacher Trainings with Les Leventhal. She thrives in this intimate environment where students can dive deeper into their understanding of yoga and themselves. She is highly motivated to encourage people to find their own voice as a teacher and share the teachings in accessible, inspiring ways with their students.

Jason Crandell

Jason Crandell is a natural teacher and author with more than 15 years of experience. His accessible, grounded classes integrate the best elements of power yoga, anatomical precision and mindfulness teachings. Jason’s articulate, down-to-earth teaching will educate and empower you.

Named “one of the teachers shaping the future of yoga,” by Yoga Journal, Jason has been one of the most in-demand teachers at conferences around the world for over a decade. Considered a “teachers-teacher,” Jason has taught on countless teacher-training faculties, leads trainings globally, and regularly presents teacher training content at esteemed conferences. Jason was a contributing editor for Yoga Journal Magazine where he has published over 25 articles and created its original series of practice podcasts. His critical thinking skills will support you on your path of practice, teaching and self-inquiry.

Jeremy Falk

Jeremy Falk is an E-RYT 500HR whose mission is to inspire grounded embodiment, authentic connection, and empowered leadership. Jeremy’s classes are a challenging alignment based Bhakti vinyasa that combine intentional sequencing, philosophy, humor, and heart. He encourages his students to stay connected to how the practice helps us show up in the world with more compassion, focus, resilience, and patience.

In 2012 he traveled the world studying wellness and completed his foundational yoga training while living in India. He’s been recognized for his accessible teachings as an Ambassador for companies like Lululemon, Fitbit, and Yoga Journal. In 2018 he traveled the US and London for 6 months documenting yoga’s impact in the West for Yoga Journal’s Live Be Yoga Tour which continues to fuel his passion for teaching. He offers meditations through MoveWith and his popular channel “Morning Meditations for Daily Magic” on Audible. He is in gratitude to his teachers Jason Crandell, Stephanie Snyder, Janet Stone, and the Association for Yoga and Meditation in Rishikesh, India.

Susannah Freedman

Susannah teaches a rigorous style of Bhakti Vinyasa yoga. She is known for leading beautiful chants, fluid sequencing, her quick wit and humor, and for her ability to weave Yoga Philosophy into class in a way that is both profound and accessible. She helps people find refuge inside their own bodies and believes that as a global community we need to find a way to understand the concept that, as her teacher Stephanie Snyder says, we are different but not separate.

In 2010 Susannah completed her first yoga teacher training and in 2014 she received her Masters in Philosophy and Religion.

Susannah currently leads yoga retreats, workshops and trainings around the world and she teaches private, public, and corporate classes all over the San Francisco Bay Area.
