Artist Bio

Lucy W. Basta is a Californian-born and based artist of 98% Native Egyptian lineage. Basta's eclectic style is united by a sense of ancient and modern mysticism; drawing on the deep mystical joy experienced at the intersection of the arts and spirituality. With each piece, Basta invites the viewer to explore their own sense of wonder and possibility and to connect with the Great Mystery that is at the heart of their work. Basta's art is primarily created with acrylic on canvas and wood and is intended to be both powerful and essence-provoking.
