Devotional Yoga: the klesha karma process

You are invited to join Steph for a weekend of deep devotional yoga. We will explore the 5 klesha’s through lecture/discussion, chanting and soulful vinyasa flows.

According to the yoga philosophy, the 5 kleshas are the cause of our deepest and hardest to identify obstacles. These obstacles, when left unattended are the source of much of our suffering, confusion and destructive programming. However, when we decide to work with these 5 klesha’s, we are able to come to know our specific triggers and the conditioned responses that accompany them. We can de-program ways of being that are hindering our freedom and happiness. This work will positively affect our personal relationships, professional crafts, and community engagement. It’s a skillful and deep practice that can be incredibly insightful and empowering!

Each day will begin with coming together for philosophical lecture and discussion. We will come to know each of the klesha’s and then come to understand how they express themselves in our individual lives. Each student will develop unique practices that when applied will help burn those seeds of suffering and leave in their place a spacious and healing understanding.

We will chant specific mantras that will facilitate this work and we will flow through sweaty soulful vinyasa practices that will encourage letting go of old habits and inviting newer healthier coping mechanisms into every aspects of our lives.

This immersion is open to all levels, however some experience with vinyasa yoga is highly recommended.
